October is almost here and summer seems to be holding on. With that so does the hopper fishing, for the time being. This weeks temps in the 80’s next week in the 50’s. Next week looks like the switch will be back to mostly mayflies.
Some updates, upper Clark below Garrison below the train bridge has a channel closed. You have to go right. Walk your boat. Also not sure if it was a slide or the construction, but the Clark Fork east of town is off color. Has the fish wacked out a little, still can catch em just a little tougher. Bitterroot flow’s have bounced around a bit check before your day out.
Productive time of day has switched to fall hours the best fishing starts around 11 so go ahead and sleep in..

Fishing trip for 3 days We had 3 great days of float fishing on the Blackfoot, Clark Fork and the west fork of the Bitterroot. Doug Jones and his guides do a great job on the float providing a friendly and welcome atmosphere. Doug is a very experienced guide and knows how to put you on the fish regardless of your experience level.
