Recommended Fly Fishing Gear

Fly Rod & Reel:  5-6 weights at least. If you have a 4 weight, it can be fun for small dries, or a 7 or 8 weight that you can use for streamers or big dries. If you don’t have one, we can take care of it just let us know.
Rain jacket:
No matter what. Bring it even if it’s a sunny day, because the weather can always change.
Wading boots (or sandals in summer).
Waders: We typically wet wade mid summer, but you will need them early and late in the season. You can always bring them. If you don’t have them, let us know.
Polarized Sunglasses: Almost the most important item.
Sunscreen and hat

Gratuities & Your Guide

This is a large part of your guide’s wage.

The guide is responsible for flies, gear, lunch, shuttle, and food for the day, so 20% covers these expenses.

Just like a waiter, these guys bring you the fish and work hard for you to do it.

If they go above and beyond, it’s appreciated if it gets noticed.
