Doug Jones Missoula, Montana Fly Fishing Guide

Doug Jones, Montana Fly Fishing GuideHello from Big Sky Country, Montana.I am Doug Jones, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, where I studied Fish and Wildlife Conservation and where I was also a student athlete at Louisiana State University. After finishing school, I trained for the '92 Olympic trials as a swimmer, where I achieved one of my greatest goals, to be ranked in the top 25 in the world.

After that, it was time to travel out to Montana and combine the two - spend all day on the water, and do some serious fish studying. And with more than a Decade of experience of guiding on Western Montana rivers. If you ask me, there is no better way to spend the day than fly fishing on one of our beautiful blue ribbon trout streams near Missoula, Montana. Often, you hear people talk about going somewhere to fly fish "a famous river." Here in Missoula, Montana we can fly fish "four famous rivers," the Blackfoot River, Bitterroot River, Clark Fork River and Missouri River each unique and scenic in their own way and all great Montana fly fishing rivers.
